Why I Started
Coaching
I am a recently retired attorney with a whole lot of life experience to share and a whole lot more to do! I am a mother to three amazing humans, and I had a successful legal career for over 30 years.
For my second career, I help navigate women through a separation or divorce from a long-term marriage and give them the tools to grow into their new life.

I have personally survived the ending a long-term marriage, and I am very aware of the unique challenges we face at this point in life when everything we thought we could count on is changed. The result of this change does not need to leave you depressed or regretful. Nor does it need to destroy your family. I can tell you it is possible to Grow With Dignity from the experience, and forge your new path.

Even as a seasoned attorney who has helped many pro-bono clients and friends through their divorce, when it came to dealing with my own process, I was at a loss. I could not get out of my story and move with confidence through all the business details and decisions that needed to be made. The issues at this point in life are so very different than earlier in a marriage with younger families and careers. Even the grief that everyone involved can experience is unique at this stage. I knew there had to be a better, more organized, and positive way to accomplish the uncoupling of a lifetime of memories and “things”.

So, as part of my own recovery and transition, I trained to become a CDC Certified Divorce Coach® and CDC Divorce Transition and Recovery Coach®. I now have a myriad of tools to share with you that will help you through those details, decisions and grief. Together, we will find your way down your next path.

Why Do You Need a Divorce Coach?

During your divorce, you will need to make a lot of important decisions at a time when you feel less confident than you probably have in years.

I am trained to guide you through the process and help you make the best possible decisions for your future based on your interests, needs and concerns. I will be a thinking partner with you; I will listen to your story – without judgment – and together we will “walk down the path” to beyond that story, into your future self.

We will work together on practical issues that arise; the so-called “business side” of the process. I will help you get organized for the other professionals you will need to work with so you can focus solely on the business with them, and not your emotions and story. By showing up organized to your lawyer, mediator, and financial planners, you will be saving yourself time – and money.

I will give you tools to help you communicate with your ex-spouse and family members about your wants, and just as importantly, your “don’t wants”. If there are difficult conversations and issues to tackle, together we will think about how to approach them and what you hope to accomplish.

I will remind you when you need to take care of yourself. You will need all your mental and physical strength to take this walk. As a yoga teacher, I can give you meditation, breathing and yoga practices to help keep you grounded and strong.

You need someone who will hear you, but not let you get paralyzed in your story. Someone to help you ask all the right questions at the right times and make the best decision for yourself.

I will be that someone. Not a friend, not a family member, not a stranger in the line at the grocery store who you start telling your story to. Rather, an advocate; your sounding board; your Divorce Coach.

I will give you the confidence to know that you can Grow With Dignity. You won’t ever be alone.

The only way out is through.
We have all heard this, however, you cannot truly understand it until you live it. Your uncoupling will force you to live it. If you try to go around it, or hide from it, you won’t move forward. To grow towards the light, you need to walk through the dark.
Grow.
